World Guard presents "Atlas Shrugged" The 2010 Flanagan HS World program showcases Ayn Rand’s masterwork and last novel “Atlas Shrugged”.
It is the brilliant dramatization of her unique vision of existence and of man’s highest purpose and potential in life. The story is a mystery about a man who said that he would stop the motor of the world with a strike—and did. The members of the guard will represent the Prime movers or “minds” of society as they fight to promote individual growth and attempt to teach everyone that anything is possible.
Ayn Rand uses “Atlas” the mythical titan to represent the movers in society. Atlas carries the world on his shoulders and through this analogy; the members will eventually lessen the load and be able to shrug the world and its burden off their shoulders. Thus…”Atlas Shrugged”
The Flanagan HS World Guard is under the direction of Mr. Dean Broadbent. The 2010 staff will include: Emma Roberts, Matt Winans, Keith Campbell and Caroline Monge. The color guard is sponsored by The Falcon Sound Alliance, Inc.
You can experience the suspense, excitement, and inspirational drive of “Atlas Shrugged” as told by the members of the Flanagan World Guard at the Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, and Orlando Power Regional and at the WGI World Championships.
