1) Concert Band Students: We will be having you fitted for concert uniforms on Tuesday 9/13 during band class. If you already have a dress or tuxedo from a previous year, you MUST bring your garment to school that day so we can check to see if all your pieces still fit. Please make sure you are present that day as there will not be any makeup fitting days.
2) We will need some student/parent volunteers on Saturday 9/17 from 9:00am-5:00pm to help us build the field props for the marching band show! Special thanks to Mr. Ericson and Mr. Nonaka for designing this prototype last week! Students will be able to earn service hours for their time. If interested please email Mr. Gabriel at mgabriel@falconsound.org.
3) Our Snap Raise fundraiser is live! We have raised over $3,000 so far, thank you to all our supporters! Please spread the word to family and friends to help us reach our goal of $15,000 this year! Click here for instructions on how to share via social media.
4) We are in need of volunteers for the Falcon Sound Invitational on October 1st! The FSA board will be holding two Invitational Volunteer Meetings on Tuesday 9/20 @ 5:45pm and Thursday 9/22 @ 6:30pm at Flanagan to assign/discuss volunteer duties for the event. Please plan on attending one or both meetings if you plan on volunteering.
5) We are now accepting drink donations for Falcon Sound Invitational! Click here for the list per grade level. Students will receive extra credit for donations - be sure to write your child's name and class period on the cases. Thank you to those who have brought in their donations this past week!
6) The director team has compiled an Amazon wish list of supplies for our band, guard and percussion classes. We would really appreciate any donations of classroom supplies, especially paper, to help our students succeed! Click here to view the list. 8) Quick note regarding marching band rehearsals: There are still several students that are coming to rehearsal without sun protection (hats, sunglasses, etc.). Please be sure to pack appropriate clothing and sun gear, snacks and WATER JUGS for outdoor rehearsals. Make sure you are staying hydrated throughout the week!
